If you are tired of the malls, Carytown it the place to go. There is something for everyone from shopping to eating to entertainment to movies. . . they have it all. Parking is not the greatest but once you learn the area you know where to find it. Traffic is slow moving for a few blocks due to traffic... More

It's called the Mile of Style for a reason! Carytown has always been a wonderful place to eat, shop & play. The boutiques are unique and reasonably priced- especially for the exclusive pieces you will find.

We live in Yorktown, Va and absolutely love driving up to Richmond to shop and eat in Carytown. Lot's of quaint shops and fun things to do especially for couples or a girl's day out. Carytown Burgers and Fries has great food and there is an awesome home decor consignment shop right next door.

This is the place to go if you have no idea where to eat. Walk around and see the shops and get a good bite.

Excellent place to shop, browse and see local acts. You'll find all kinds of stores selling novel and in many cases vintage "stuff." It's like going back in a time machine. One store I loved was the World of Mirth store which had "stuff" for Harry Potter fans, Star Wars fans, Sci-Fi fans> what's not to like/love?

I love Carytown for it's character and charm and shopping. I rarely visit Carytown for it's character, charm and shopping. I love the restaurants, Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorites. I love the vintage/used clothing stores and the Byrd. One would enjoy a great meal followed by strolling around for shopping...BUT there are no public restrooms! If you have... More

Carytown is a popular place, so it will be busy, but that's part of the fun. We've never have had problem finding parking - usually staying away from the main drag and park on the adjacent streets or parking lots/garages in the back alleys. There are many shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes, breweries to explore along the strip. We appreciate it... More

Always fun to walk around and get coffee/ice cream. Really close walk to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts too! Great for a weekend trip.

This a unique mix of many types of restaurants and boutique type stores. Our favorites are Cache Cache Brasserie for French food and 2nd Debut Goodwill store for bargains. It is also a great place to people watch.
