The participants of SAC visiting VMFA were 4 ES students(2-5th; 1-4th & 1-2nd grades) and 1 MS (7th grader) with myself as the adult overseer. We visited the Sun. WIT-VMFA and our curator was Mr. Douglas. He did a phenomenal tour with us!!!

The exhibits are always well done and live, free jazz music on Thursday evenings makes it even better. While listening to the music enjoy an adult beverage and some food from the excellent food counter and then enter the museum (for a fee).

The core exhibits are definitely worth seeing.
There is something for people with different interests in their building. We also ate a quick lunch.

Great selection of art, great special exhibits and music. Almost every night they have something special going on. Thursday night is free jazz night. Just buy a dinner or snack or nothing but enjoy the jazz.
