A multi activity location for children of all ages. From toddler up - even the teenagers might enjoy it. (One never knows). Kids can play in a grocery store, ride on a horse, place "apples" through a wooden wall and collect them before they fall down, or build items from a variety of material.

I was excited to stop here to let my daughter run and play while we were on a long road trip and it did not disappoint. Even with field trips occurring and general visitors, there was plenty of room for all the children to run and play. There were lots of fun activities and places to play that entertained my... More

The visit was hoping to be exciting as we went to an old haunt our children grew up with. What a bummber that so many exhibits that had been hands on and required interactivity are now just press a button and listen. Very little interactivity. Maybe this is due to lower budget and less help but it was so much... More

Was not impressed. We have been to others in various cities and maybe we were biased having been to better children museums but felt this was lacking.

Wonderful place with a carousel that runs for 15 minutes on the hour, every hour, with $4 for unlimited rides. My 7-year old enjoyed hours of fun play. The entrance price of $9 is a great deal, plus a $1 discount for AAA members. There are different sections, including a garage, a grocery store, a newsroom, an ambulance, a farm.... More

We bring our son to the CMoR Central a few times a year. We live in the Charlottesville Area and he LOVES getting to spend the day at CMoR. Our last trip was on New Year's Eve, we arrived right when they opened, the staff was ready for all the children, set up for special activities, the museum was clean... More

My daughter and I took the grandsons to this small museum, a two-hour drive (with heavy traffic) from Virginia Beach. It's right next door to the bigger Science Museum on Broad Street. All exhibits are on the ground floor, so strollers and wheelchairs have easy access. I used my retired military ID card to get a dollar off for each... More

Make sure you take the kids to the museum on Broad next to the Science Museum. Our grandkids are from Philly and love to go here every time they visit.

I took our 2-year-old granddaughter and her friend here and it was ideal for them. The stations were clean and well-stocked. Staff was helpful as we left and I didn't want to buy them toys; a worker gave them each a sticker!

We took our two year old grand daughter to the Children's Museum in Chesterfield on a weekday to play and burn off some energy. It is fairly small, but there are a lot of things for a young child to play with and do. There were a number of other young children there with their parents and grandparents, but there... More
