Not a must see, BUT a brief insight to every war the United States fought in. Free parking and admission.

The area is lovely and the Memorial by the river is beautiful and moving. Names are engraved and the pool and flame with the grieving mother statue is profound. Th e kids can just run around the grounds too.

There is a nice auditorium where you can choose to watch short videos of each conflict. They are well done with veteran interviews.

There is parking that is easily accessed from Belvidere on both the side and back of the memorial plus there is also on street parking as well.
