For a day trip this is one of the best places you can visit in Portugal. 1 hour away from Lisbon, you can enjoy a great day by the beach, or climb to the highest point in the island and just enjoy the peaceful views...More
We visited this island as a family. Best time I think would be late morning as the weather tends to be cloudy in Peniche in the morning. There is a small beach and a walking trail. We enjoyed the grottos tour as well.
It is an impressive island in the middle of the Atlantic. It takes around 30 minutes and cost around 18€ in a bout that you can take from Peniche. It has a little beach that normally has too many people but is worth going. Another...More

Hi - 6 h is not too long. There is a nice walk, little restaurants at the port and you can book a snorkeling or boat tour into the caves. Like this the 6 hours just fly and you will be sad to leave already 😉
