This home is absolutely beautiful. And, the views of the surrounding area are amazing. Lots and lots of walking trails, if that is your interest. It is well worth the time to go on the guided tour of this beautiful house and to hear the...More

Three owners over 100years continue their goal of conservation. This should be on your list of National Historic Parks to visit. The home is beautiful, the setting is stunning, the story is compelling and well told by seasoned National Park Staff and the town is...More

Went on a really nice walk in the woods. Saw the mansion from the outside and walked gardens but didn't go for the tour.

We did a short hike for our kid. Visitor center employees were very informative. Tons of kids friendly activities in this park. Please make sure to inquire about Jr. Ranger program for the young ones.

See the film first and it will give you an overview of the place. Make sure you have reservations for the tour ( a day ahead to be sure). The mansion tour is given in small groups. Very interesting as nothing has been changed.
