The best exhibit is the one about the Civil War. Great displays of artifacts, weapons, clothing, medical stuff. There are several short videos worth stopping and sitting through. This is a well done area. Pretty good exhibit of information on native american's in Georgia. We...More

The modern History Center building packs in displays about the history of Atlanta, the Civil War, various local artists or sporting personalities and what I liked - an exhibition about the Barbecue! No, it is NOT boring! Many interactive exhibits make this truly engaging for...More

Atlanta has a surprisingly short history -- it was only founded a few decades before the Civil War. The Atlanta history section was thus a bit short and less interesting, but the Civil War exhibit was very nice. We also enjoyed the historical houses outdoors...More

It is amazing how much history is in Atlanta. I loved learning about the Olympics, politics, technology, business and the physical environment of the Atlanta area.

Civil War exhibit is exceptional. Thinking (at the time) from both sides is well covered. They have many uniforms, tools and the like on display. Civil Rights Movement in Atlanta has a good exhibit. Other local history is of course covered, including the Olympics. If...More
