A place away from downtown, but fun to see. It was unique to see the puppets of Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, as these are the characters I grew up with. The Lybyrinth exhibit was unique as well. Puppets from all around the world and different time periods were on show as well.

My husband and I really enjoyed this museum. We weren't sure whether it would be a place for children only, but we ended up pleasantly surprised! The Jim Henson gallery was very interesting. There was an excellent one hour marionette puppet show that we enjoyed. It takes about 3 hours to tour including the show. We would definitely visit again!

While the exhibits from across the world are pretty good, the workshop was very good. Kids get to make a small paper puppet, all the material and instructions are provided. Workshop is Good for kids between 4-10. Didn't get to see the show

It's an interesting set of exhibits. Maybe about 45 minutes at your own pace. My favorite displays were the puppets from across the globe; it lets you realize how much of a shared cultural experience puppetry is. The display had some kid-friendly aspects, but was oriented much to adults and performance and art. There is also a theater for performances... More

MY wife and I made a trip to Atlanta just to see the Labyrinth exhibit. It is her favorite movie and she loves David Bowie so it was a must see for her. The Henson exhibit was amazing for me as I got to see a great deal of characters I loved as a child on display. They even had... More

The best is to get a yearly membership if you have kids. You can have a front row seating and the admission to a puppet workshop after the shows. Very interactive.

Great museum, play area with structures, easy and free parking, easy to find, and the puppet shows are wonderful.

I found this on a whim looking at Trip advisor on things to do in ATL. And just my luck the LABYRINTH exhibit was here so we HAD to go. First off the building itself is funky and fun-and after you buy your ticket (regular walk around $10.50) you are faced with JARETH's throne from Labyrinth that you can sit... More

Stopped in here coming back from South Georgia Heading for Tennessee. Wonderful Museum. Lots of activities for the kids. Lots of interactive games for the kids as well. Three separate venues inside all four price of one ticket. And we may not even watch the shows. Very large location. Free parking in the rear.

We enjoyed our day at the Puppetry Center for Arts. . .and the Children's Group that attended with us is still talking about their experience. Not only is this place a "treat" in the sense of experiencing "puppetry" but it was a delight to have an educational and hands on experience for our kids during the visit. As an adult,... More
