We just walked through this park on our way back to MARTA from the Botanical Gardens (reviewed separately, but recommended). Enjoyed the walk and saw many people and families enjoying the outdoors and green space.

Especially visiting in September, the fall leaves really take your breath away. Definitely a recommendsation from my behalf.

This area seems to be the place to go on the weekends. It has a lot of open space and can accommodate a lot of people. We saw a yoga class, baseball/softball games, beach/sand volleyball courts, etc. Nice pleasant walking paths.

This was a wonderful relaxing walk. The park is bigger than we thought so we didn't get through even half of the park. But it is a wonderful place to walk through and sit and take in the scenery.

Park has plenty of trails for jogging, biking, dog walking, etc. The lawns are plush and trees bountiful and the area is well kept and beautiful. Lots of areas that have tables for quiet reading, pinicking, etc. Very relaxing atmosphere.

We enjoyed a walk through this park. There are some great views of Atlanta's skyline. Some peace and quiet and greenery in the middle of the city.

This is one of my favorite parts of Atlanta. I used to run during summer evenings here and really enjoyed the views and different parts of the park. I've seen league soccer played as well as many other sports. It has a very nice view...More

Piedmont Park is a great place to go for a walk, jog or run while in the heart of Atlanta. If you're in the Midtown area, it's good to check out on a sunny day.

Piedmont has really improved over the years. It is much better maintained now. There are a lot of great events and many fields for sports and exercise as well. Central to everything in midtown and you can easy take MARTA bus to it.

The Belt line is your best bet. You are able to rent bikes from Ponce City Market and also enjoy great food, fun, and shopping.

No you would need to drive from what I remember. Beautiful place. The aquarium is awesome. Also for the aquarium park in the left across the street for like $5.
