The cemetery is a great way to learn the story of Atlanta. They offer a variety of tours, highlights include Civil War, civil rights, love stories and Georgia Tech luminaries. I have more than a dozen times and it never disappoints.

This is a very well kept old cemetery. It has remains for over 200 years including many civil war dead. I would highly recommend.

I love going to this cemetery as all the famous people from Atlanta are here along with Civil War soldiers, from both North and South. It is a beautiful place and very historic.

I actually found the grounds to be very uneven so I recommend sneakers, but if you stay on just the paved areas, then sandals.
