Have been to the Tavern many times over the past few years. Seems to be the best place to be truly entertained. Of course, the Shakespeare plays - and their ilk - are always fun to watch and the performers are all great and diverse. Have also seen a few other non-Billy-Shake (sorry, reference to an inside joke from my... More

My wife and I attended "Romeo and Juliet" with our 15 year old son. The show was simply outstanding. Shakespeare really came to life, with excellent acting from all actors, wonderful costuming, and strong staging. The food was good and reasonably priced. The apple pecan crisp with ice cream was particularly good (only served during intermission). The service from everyone... More

This place is great! A Christmas Carol was so good and so much fun. Enjoy the food while you are there because everything is good. The actors was so talented and I love being around all of them. Can't wait to go again!!

Very warm atmosphere, and fun experience. Charismatic actors and fun plays! The size You can eat while watching the play, which is quite a new concept for me, but i cannot say that I did not enjoy it. The fact that the place is very small with people basically sharing tables, makes the experience very intimate, feels like a family... More

Staying in Atlanta on a business trip, decided to try some new things. Found this online and made reservations. We were far from disappointed. It was a grand night. We enjoyed the food, the drink, and most especially, the show. The show that evening was Much Ado About Nothing. The actors were excellent. The food was delicious and the drinks... More

Last year we were wandering around Atlanta and visited the Tavern. Going back this Friday to visit the tavern again. Great choices for individuals with celiacs disease/gf.

I surprised my wife for her birthday with a Queens Table (seating up front). This was spectacular. The staff was awesome, and the players were excellent. The food was period based (so shepherd's pie) and it was served from a cafeteria. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to return.

We were traveling through on business and stumbled upon the Shakespeare Tavern. We bought tickets immediately and enjoyed a wonderful performance of Volpone. I am not as familiar with Ben Johnson as I am with Shakespeare, but this was a fortune and hilarious introduction. Definitely a must for theatre folks!

If you read and know Shakespeare, this is the place to go. The theatre makes it feel like commended performance as you are sitting right there feel like part of the theatre. I only attended half of the Henry VI part 1 as it is a more than 2 hours show and we just arrived Atlanta and have an early... More
