Chilled bar in a great location on a trendy square, the bar was busy with a mix of locals, but the service was attentive.

Really cool place!

An evening with "flamenco fusion" was awesome! And the people there, mostly Spanish, made me feel welcome ! Friendly bartender. Cool, easy going place in the Old Town of Almuñécar.

Went looking for Tapas found this instead
May 2016 • Couples
We go for a nightly walk through the town, which usually means we work up an appetite and like to top it off with a drink and some Tapas. This bar is located in a square that has at least 6 bars in it and we have been to a few of them for drinks and Tapas. We hadn't tried this one before so we went over. The tables that didn't have patrons were littered with remnants of previous customers so I went to the bar and asked if one of the tables was open which motivated the bartender to come out and clean one off for us. We ordered Cava and a beer. The small 2-glass bottle arrived in a bucket of ice, a nice touch, and my draft beer was cold. Unfortunately there were no Tapas, a first for any place we have gone to in Almuñécar. We actually saw some people sitting down with drinks while having food delivered from one of the other places on the square. I suppose if you wanted to have a drink and watch the game on tv this would be a nice place. We wanted something to nosh on so this was a waste of time.

Best Night Out
Apr 2016 • Friends
After visiting multiple bars around and in almuñecar which were all quite quiet, we arrived at Jabeque at quarter past 1 in the morning to find it was still packed. The four of us then stayed drinking, chatting, dancing and singing until 6.30am. Jose-Antonio is one of the funniest chattiest and attentive bar keeps I have ever met and he absolutely made the night for us. The music was amazing, the drinks were strong and the atmosphere was incredible. I can't wait to return.

The best bar in Almuñecar
Mar 2016
You can't visit Almuñecar without having at least one drink at Jabeque. José is the most attentive and kind bar owner you will ever meet and his English is better then he likes to admit. Just have a seat and enjoy the service.

Almunecar night life in Winter is not great but the Jabeque is a pub worth visiting even if nothing is going on, good barman, amusing clientele and a bottle of wine for 15 Euros. Tonite it had a group of young women dancing and interpreting some music with corporal movements. Arty farty? perhaps but worth watching.

Drinking in bar Jabeque
Sep 2014 • Couples
By far the best bar in Almunecar. The owner Jose is a great bloke and speaks a little English and a fantastic barman as are his staff. Wor lass and me have spent many an hour either outside or in the bar itself and had great nights often staying until after 3 am which is late for an old git like me!!
Whenever we return to Almunecar which at the moment is twice a year we head for Jabeque as soon as possible
