Once you've visited all the obvious attractions, give this a try. It's only a short distance from Far View Lodge, tho you may need to ask for directions at the Lodge reception as this is not well signposted. However when you do get there, the...More

This is a review specific to half mile hike of the farming terraces. The loop has about a 145 ft elevation change which makes it a bit strenuous for the casual walker. The payoff is not that great. The area is bland and you cannot...More

See and imagine how hard it was to live here and think about what it took for you to get here and think they did this on foot in all kinds of weather not in an air conditioned car. Most of us would be mountain...More

My husband and I hiked this trail at the end of the day and had it all to ourselves. It is interesting to see all the little rock check dams in the canyon and learn about how they were used for farming. But we enjoyed...More

Very, very interesting. Be sure to grab a little guide so you can LEARN while you are looking. Otherwise, you won't know what anything is. Amazing that this stuff is all still around, and so well-preserved.

We enjoyed walking along the farming terraces and especially seeing the reservoir which has bed recognized as a civil engineering accomplishment.

Our family enjoys longer hikes and great vistas, this didn't have that. It did however, have some well preserved sites and great history. So, if you want an easier experience and great history, this would be a good stop.
