We have an eleven year old and a seven year old and they were able to do the hike no problem. We saw younger kids on the hike. Even though this is the easiest if the hikes, it's still strenuous. You won't find views like...More

It takes two hours for this tour, which requires a good bit of walking and climbing, but it is so worth it. Spectacular site with such impressive construction. Everything is so well maintained in a respectful manner. Great guide with tons of information.

Ranger Carol gave us this tour and it was excellent. She's an archeologist by training and she was a fount of knowledge for this outing. I highly recommend you do this one early in the day.

This two mile hike/walk into the canyon was our favorite. There was lots of time to ask the Ranger questions, breathtaking view, and we even saw a collared lizard.

We had to drive to get to this cave dwelling but we stopped along the way to look at all the different views.

This is an exceptional tour. You can either take a short tour with a guide or walk it yourself. This is very high off the canyon.

Stop at the Visitor's Center to book your tours as soon as you arrive in Mesa Verde National Park. They fill up fast. Bring water but no food or snacks. The trek took 2 1/2 hours. Our Park Ranger, Larry was VERY knowledgeable and interesting....More
