I was apprehensive to enter because years ago when it was preparing to open, there didn't seem to be much to it. While small, there are a number of exhibits of medical artifacts used during the war and dioramas that provide an idea of what...More

Of all the exhibits this museum had to offer, it was the display of the rifle the soldiers had to carry that was most memorable to us. It is set up so you can lift it a small ways. It's anchored so no one takes...More

We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of history here. So many little know facts that put things into perspective. It does require a lot of reading and may not hold the interest of non-reading children. If you have a love for all things Civil...More

We spent about 90 minutes here exploring the exhibits and reading about the history. It was very interesting to get a better view of what medical treatments were like and how it has changed the way triage is done more than a century later.

Thank you so much for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. We loved your ending remarks. We don't think you have to worry if you start talking to the mannequins--you just have to worry if they start to talk back.
