We went after 2 inches of snow the night before. Got their early, not crowded since it was before Memorial Day. It will always stay in your memory. The museum explained how it was sculpted and no workers died. Enjoy this wonder.

We had a very nice visit to this park. A surprising aspect of our journey was the shifting perspectives of the sculpture as we traveled up the presidential trail. The weather and the length of time required to see the park and gift shop were perfect.

Everyone should go see this at least once. It's amazing. Pics in books and on tv doesn't capture the magnificence of this place. You'll be in awe of just how huge and great it looks in person. The museum is great also, there's also a 13 minute film you can watch that touches on how it was built. No admission... More

This is a must see vacation. Absolutely beautiful display and the ceremony done in the evening is beautiful. There is a nice trail to walk on to get up close to the rocks. I could sit and look at this all day. One of my favorite things ever.

We went Friday morning prior to the Holiday weekend in May. We arrived around 9am, and the place was empty. It's a perfect time to go, before all the tour busses show up. Upon arrival, it's $10 to park but if you are over 62 yoa, it's half price. The museum has a lot of interesting items and artifacts as... More

Truly awe inspiring to think that the carving of Mt. Rushmore started in 1927...it is an amazing monument. Take the Presidential Trail to experience a little more of nature and more views of the mountain. Stop in the museum for more history and lastly, try Thomas Jefferson's ice cream.

Very Impressive in Person...Have seen photos for years and none compare to seeing it right in front of you. Mount Rushmore was on our Bucket List. Went in May and was not crowded, which made parking and maneuvering the park a breeze. There is no admission fee, but parking is $10 per car, which is reduced to $5 for Senior... More

It is everything good you've ever heard about it. It ironically doesn't seem as big as you think it is, but nonetheless impressive. Not to be missed.
