What can I say - Mt Rushmore is an American icon. It’s amazing to see. The colonnade of flags, which is new since the last time I was there, is also great - flags representing all the states, fluttering in the breeze and framing the...More

We were one of five couples who rented an RV and drove 700 miles each way to visit Mount Rushmore. It is so moving! The Badlands and Deadwood also are great!

You can see everything from the top. If you choose to go all the way down you can with steps. We didn’t. We had a 5 and 3 year old with us. I️ can’t remember if their was an elevator. Seems like I️ saw one but I’m not sure.
