I wish every American could come to this place. It was inspiring to learn the history of the making of Mt Rushmore as well as being reminded of what our American history is. The grounds are very well-kept and beautiful. The land formations and scenery...More

We visited Mount Rushmore as part of our bucket list. It is a bit of a scenic and winding drive to the memorial, with some stops for scenic pictures, but eventually you get to a booth where you can buy a parking pass, which is...More

Threatening weather shortened the visit but we had time to walk the trail and visit some of the exhibits. We've been here before so we know what we missed. The lighting ceremony was also shortened and just in time because we barely made it to...More

A very moving monument. We walked the President's Trail to the Sculptor's Studio. It was nice to see the monument from different angles. While there are a lot of steps, there are benches to stop and take a rest. There is no reason to hurry....More

I have visited Mt. Rushmore twice before and it never fails to impress. Just amazing how they carved our Presidents' likenesses into a mountain. The kids were impressed too, and they are generally unimpressed kids. :) We just loved the trails and steps that took...More

This was my first trip to Mt. Rushmore, everyone in my party had been there before. We got there later in the evening. We had enough time to browse the gift shop and have dinner before the lighting ceremony at dusk. This is a MUST...More

Good morning Glen, The walkways are 100% accessible, from your car to the main part of the museum I would say is about a 10 minute walk. There are elevators are in both the garage and museum.
