I have always wanted to see Mount Rushmore, got to admit, while it is impressive, it looked smaller than i imagined. The avenue of flags as you walk towards the monument is pretty impressive also, so are the exhibits of the monuments construction.

Seeing this in person was surreal. Really felt like a Hitch cock movie wondering around these magnificent stone carved heads in twilight.

Never thought I would ever get to see Mount Rushmore in my lifetime. On a cloudless, August day, I got to stare in awe and amazement at four men who have shaped our American history. Never pass up the opportunity to see Mount Rushmore.

We visited during the shutdown and we were interviewed by a TV reporter. The sculpture is worth the detour and we benefited by having the place mostly to ourselves. The gift shop is comprehensive. The engineering is spectacular.

This was one of the most awesome, breathtaking, trips we have ever made. The views were spectacular, the monument was awesome, and the unbelievable amount of "other" things to do made the trip will worth the money and time. I would highly recommend a tour...More

Visiting at night in the winter was far beyond anything I could expect! So quiet and beautiful even in February

Mount Rushmore is definitely worth seeing, particularly on your way somewhere during a roadtrip. My one caution is that the Presidential Trail can be closed if there is snow or ice on the trail. The Presidential Trail is the way to get up close to...More

This is a must see if you’re in the area. You can walk a path that takes you near the base of the mountain with stops along the way to read about its history. There is a bit of walking involved but there are also...More

I had visited Mt. Rushmore a few times in years past, and it was nice to finally come back after a rather long time of not being able to get out this way. If you visit South Dakota, this place is a must-see. The memorial...More

I would research ahead of your visit to see if there are any presentations that you would like to see, or to check out the museum hours. There is an amphitheater below the main viewing area where these are held, and also a... More

Sorry, but I have no idea. I'd check on the various websites about RV access to the specific areas you want to see because some of the areas are a bit tight especially if you're planning on going through some of the tunnels.

We drove interstate 90 through South Dakota to mt rushmore this summer and were amazed at all the signs to expect road closures in winter. I imagine that the same would be true in Wyoming.
