My family loves history and this place was beautiful. It is well kept and is worth seeing. We enjoyed trying to find the oldest graves. We were not able to get a brochure guide, which would have been amazing. We found out later that they...More

Could have spend a full day exploring this old cemetery. The ironwork alone was a feast to the eyes. Take notice of the trees, some are absolutely beautiful, massive with unusual bark.

We came to Natchez for the burial of a beloved family member at this historic cemetery on the bluffs above the Mississippi River. It's a beautiful, peaceful and very serene place. We came all the way from California and it was our first visit here....More

We drove to the Natchez Cemetery and marveled at the beautiful fences and monuments there. Although crowded, the cemetery provided us with many examples of funereal art. There wasn't enough time to view it all!

Park like setting, the narrated tour CD is a good historical perspective of Natchez; CD available on loan from some lodging locations, or may be rented or purchased from Natchez visitor center.

Such a beautiful place! The headstones and wrought iron gates were captivating. My sister and I took an early morning stroll through the cemetery our first morning in Natchez. It was a highlight of our trip.

This cemetery is beautiful with moss laden oak trees, green grass and wrought iron from pre-Civil War era. The most interesting people are buried here and each tombstone has a story to tell. The "turning angel" is a stone angel that sits middle of cemetery...More

We stayed at a charming B&B on Cemetery Road - just down from the National Cemetery - so we drove past this place every day. We kept thinking we would take a morning walk through there - but our hosts were too much fun and...More

Some sad stories and the saddest is the site where the little girl died and her mother would keep her company during Thunder storms because she was always afraid of them!

I really do not know this answer. If I were you, I would contact the Natchez Historical Society. There is a small building that I think is staffed during the week. We were there on the weekend, so could not tell you the... More
