For a respite from crowds and do as the locals do, visit Imbetiba Beach. If you like to see ships, the oil ships are docked there and carry workers daily. Same neighborhood the mayor's home is located in, hotels and restaurants right there!

I had a short stroll along the beach one morning after my breakfast. Its a nice beach adjacent to the harbour where all the vessels dock. Nice enough for a bit of sunbathing. Well maintained with no litter on it.

Not a place for tourists. Its kind of dirty because its the beach where the PetroBras Port is located. Lots of ships and industrial activity.
