The Tres Tombos was only a 15-minute drive from DPNY, but be careful - it is a very steep drive with some really nasty potholes. We recommend that you hike all the way up to the top waterfall first and work your way back down to the bottom one where you can swim in the very clear cold water. Note:... More

Quite a short hike to visit all three waterfalls but the scenery is lovely and the water is refreshing once you reach the top. Watch out for snakes!

I recommend you to park your car on the lower part of the hill that access this park. You can take a small walk uphill and know these amazing waterfalls... Their paths are well mantained and defined, and are short too... Dont forget to take some insects repellent with you since you will find painful moskitos (borrachudos) in these paths

When visiting this waterfall you feel yourself entering the tropical forrest. We were there alone because in was out of touristic season and we felt like being alone in the jungle. A great sensation. Very beautiful place! if you have to walk from the main coast road until the first waterfall, you need to climb quite a steep road. But... More

The third of three waterfalls on this hike is the most impressive, and all are an easy hike on well constructed trails. Parking is limited and you must pass a gated entry to get there. You may see intrepid rock climbers rappelling down the falls while butterflies and hummingbirds dance all around you. But be careful, as the rocks are... More

We were in Ilhabela for New Year and had the pleasure of going to this amazing waterfall. We really enjoyed, easy to get there, very close to where we were staying, we drove there though, it was just beautiful. You will need lots of repellent as there are lots of borrachudos, tiny blood sucker mosquitos.

The falls are very close to the beach, although you will need a car or bike to go up the mountain where the state park is. There are 3 falls you can visit and a small natural pool to have a dip in the water. Free of charge.

We walked up in September, off season and only two other people there. Easy walk, but you have to know where it is to drive up to it (through a gated community off the main road). All three falls are beautiful, and you can get under the third, swim in a pool at the first.

Was great! We went in the off season, so there were not many tourists. Therefore, we had the waterfalls and hike to ourselves! You can swim in the small pool of the first waterfall, have a great view of the ocean at the second, and go under the waterfall and get a nice, powerful massage and climb some rocks at... More
