Some years ago I went to Hawaii and took a trip to a village called Hanna in the island of Kauai. The main attraction of that trip is the road that crosses a tropical forest. It was beautiful. But now, after going to the Ilhabela...More

Visit this state park if you are interested in a strenuous hiking experience that is very rewarding for its cascading waterfalls and dense foliage. I was with a group (20+) and the consensus was "strenuous" is the right word - it is uphill and we...More

Driving through the state park is a beautiful, fun experience. The view from the lookout at the top of the mountain is amazing. The trail is somewhat rough, however, and a 4x4 vehicle is necessary.

The island is fascinanting, has really good beaches and restaurants. The park is worth visiting. The best way to get there is by ship (there are many companies that offer this). Nature not damaged at all

A good day on the beach the Atlantic side of the island is accessed via a Jeep trip through the rain forest. An experience well worth the trip. We were advised not to eat the fried food which I think was good advise.
