We absolutely love driving up Mill Creek Canyon in the fall to see all the beautiful fall colors. There are many areas to have a picnic as well as hiking trails along the way. Great way to spend a day.

Such diversity in hiking trails. I broke my leg there & I still can't stay away. My favorite hike is to Dog lake. One of the few canyons in Salt lake to take your dogs because it is not a water shed.

Lovely mountain flowers and air but we did find it impossible to go up the hill with the truck at the top, so just turn around!

We drove, drove, and drove to find a picnic area. The place we finally found was closed. We ended up parking a distance from the closed picnic area and carried our food to a picnic table. The area was beautiful if it had been mowed...More

Putting in the toll booth and closing it down at 10:00 PM is the best thing to ever happen for Millcreek Canyon and those of us that love it so much. Although there are lots of improved picnic spots it remains relatively quiet and peaceful,...More

Odd days are dog days. Dogs are allowed off leash! Parking can be an issue because this canyon is popular.
