Of course, if you visit Salt Lake City, you have to go see the Great Salt Lake - and it is definitely worth seeing. And if you come at the right time of year to dip your feet in the water, so much the better....More

Had a little free time so drove out to the lake, only a 20min drive from where we were staying, would not recommend it. Was far to cold to do any water sports on the lake, was very dreary and a little bit depressing. Unless...More

Because the Grest Salt Lake was recommended we drive out of Salt Lake City to view it. Was disappointed; glad didn't go as part of a tour. Expected to see various wild birds, not even 1 observed. No boats on the water either. I understand...More

Went out here by Mini Bus Tour. Short trip out and well worth the ride. Got to see the Great Salt lake and it would of been a shame to travel 1,500 miles and not see it. Recommend going if you can. Even though it...More

Huge herd of at least 150 bison down by the lake. The flora of wild sunflowers added beauty to the otherwise brown, rocky area. Worth the time and money

We read a lot about the smell and the flies but to me, it wasn't that bad. The visitor's center had an informative and entertaining video. The people were helpful and friendly. We were happy to see flush toilets too! The lake is pretty from...More

I'm not really sure what wildlife there is to see here. The park itself is pretty small, and other than some birds, I didn't see much of anything other than the lake while there.
