LOVED this beach. Beautiful, clean, and family oriented. Pelicans fly over and fish close to the beach often. I was so impressed, this is probably one of the only beaches I will revisit in the Corpus Area.

Getting onto Malaquite Beach can be a challenge. Getting your equipment over the sand dune is tough. But once you're planted, it's beautiful. Not loaded with beachgoers. Lots of pelicans flying in formation above you. Nice, clean sand without too many shells. Malaquite has a...More

Once we discovered this little gem, we also found out they have camp sites and tent sites as well, so if you want to spend the night it is possible as well. Very nice and not too crowded especially during peak season. Great location and...More

If you like natural beauty, getting back to nature and areas where man has NOT had a detrimental affect, then this could be the place to visit. The National Parks have a 60 mile stretch along the coast that absolutely illustrates how fantastic the service...More

We went to a turtle release at that beach and afterwards we played on the beach. It was very clean! There were clams every where. It was very pretty

Drove down to the beach from Corpus Christi. The facilities were nice. Did not stay very long as it was just a sight seeing trip to see what the "fuss" was a bout.

It's been a couple of years since we last visited Malaquite. The quality of the water and beach has not changed. It's still exceptionally beautiful, partially secluded and lovely warm waves in the summer. Another beautiful beach vacation capped by multiple sea turtle sitings and...More

This is a family-oriented beach in the Padre Island National Seashore. Don't get alarmed if you seem to be driving into nowhere - follow the signs from Park Road 22 and you will get there. I suspect it's not as highly used as other beach...More

Certainly...really nice natural beach with facilities. The visitor center is small but very interesting! I would think most spring breakers would avoid this beach because it is not free and they patrol it constantly!
