Not as big as some of the bigger city museums, but it has been updated . Lots of interactive things for the kids to do. Plan to spend a few hours here.

What a terrific place. Meant to only spend a couple hours there but spent two days. Wonderful layout that gives you time and space to wander. The displays were not just item under glass but put into themes such as a village etc. very interactive for kids too.

We spent most of a day here really reading and learning about the area. The exhibit about Spanish explorers, their shipwrecks, and habitation of Texas was very well done. The mineral and sea shell displays are also great. The museum seems fairly new and in good condition. All the displays were handicap accessible. A day well spent.

Unlike many places I have been I did not have to search for parking or pay expensive fees to park (it was free). I am military and they offered a very steep discount to military card holders. The museum part covers Texas and Corpus Christi history from pre-colonization until present and was well done with many interactive opportunities. You can... More
