This windsurfing spot is great for all levels of sailors. Just pack a snack, something to drink, grab your booties, sunscreen and you are all set. The team of experts lead by Don will set you up for success with sails and boards to match the conditions and your abilities. We give them our highest recommendation for sailing, equipment and... This is one of my favorite places to windsurf, I visit every year and wish I could go even more. As noted they are inside the park so you have to pay the entrance fee but it is well worth it. The gulf-side beaches and visitor center are worth checking out, especially since the shop doesn't open til 11 am... More

I'm not sure if they mentioned that on their website but you have to pay $10 (good for a week) to get to them because they are inside the park. Once you get past that it is all great. Friendly knowledgeable staff and good gear. Water is shallow enough to learn safely. So much fun.

30 minute drive from Corpus. Laid back place that gives GREAT windsurfing lessons. They teach you essentials, step by step, and classes are super small. Teacher is very thorough. Area is great because it's not deep at all for quite a distance. Lessons takes about 30-45 minutes at the longest, but you have a 3 hour rental. Lots of time... More

we went here, as a family, to rent kayaks and kayak in the bay. however, the winds were so intense that it was overly difficult for us to have an enjoyable time. the winds were well within their recommended standard, but were far too difficult to manage.

Karen B, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. Our customer's feedback is really important to us! The winds in this area, while great for the Windsurfing side of our business, can make kayaking quite a challenge. Our team will discuss lowering our max wind recommendation to make sure our kayaking guests can enjoy their... More

I had gone windsurfing for a full week about a decade ago and always wanted to try again. The French guy at this place recommended that I try the intro lesson to remember how it works rather than just renting gear. They upgraded my board and sail a couple of times as I remembered how it worked over the three... More

The people who work the shop are generally very helpful. We rented windsurfing equipment for all day and had a blast. If the winds aren't good (they can't guarantee the weather), they're usually good about rescheduling if you can. They provide water shoes (a must in the bay) and showers to wash off and lessons. We took lessons and it... More

It is the only windsurfing equipment rental place at the North Padre Island. The location is good for all level of windsurfers and is particularly good for learning and is safe for kids. The equipment is good and the staff are most helpful. The facility is inside the National Park so be aware that you need to pay for the day... More

I called Randy a week or two prior to our troop and venturing crew trip to Bird Island Basin PINS. He did a wonderful job communicating our options. We scheduled a 101 class for 16 youth and 2 adults. These guys did a great job meeting our needs and were great instructors. You can tell they love the sport and... More

I would definitely mark windsurfing lessons as a successfully completed adventure thanks to these guys. My wife, teenaged son, and I all signed up for Windsurfing 101 at Worldwinds, and we had a blast! It was a group event with several other students, but that actually helped us feel comfortable with mistakes and missteps since everyone fell off the boards... More
