Easy trails and very pretty surroundings. The staff in the nature center are helpful and nice. We loved ending our visit by sitting on the couches in the AC looking out on the turtles and ducks.

Great visitor center with a sitting room overlooking the pond which is full of turtles. Native plants are marked along a short walking path. Bisque trails get you closer to the Rio Grande. Explore room for kids and activities relating to local flora and fauna.

Yes. We saw a couple of people with their dogs with them. If you want, call their front desk (505) 344-7240 and ask just to be sure.
