This place is so fantastic - there are several rooms filled with beautiful and unique creations made by over two dozen local artists. Whenever I'm in ABQ I always stop in to visit the gallery as they have such a great variety of beautiful items handmade by local artists! I'm always finding something perfect for a gift or keepsake and enjoy meeting the artists who are often there. A must see when visiting ABQ Old Town.

Amapola Gallery is a local artist's coop. There are five rooms of art ranging from photography and painting to mosaics, woodwork, fused glass, functional ceramics, candle making, and jewelry! The artists run the gallery. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is air conditioned and a yogurt shop (yum!!) is located downstairs. A nice way to cool off and enjoy... More

In the area with tables I saw some great art hanging on the walls, which made me want to go upstairs. I was blown away. There were FIVE rooms of incredible things to look at and buy. Jewelry by local artists, photographs... More

Travelers sometimes miss this gallery- you need to walk up the stairs, and people do not always notice it. It is so worth the visit. It is an artist's cooperative and a great place to find that special gift for someone. Prices are reasonable, quality is high. Even if you are just looking, it is an interesting stop!
