Great small beach off the beaten path that is coveted by the community. Nice picnic area and community garden. Reefs off the left side of shore great fish viewing.

Not only is this a lesser known beach with a grassy shady sunny park with snorkle access where you can walk out to watch whales, but it is also a park where you can visit the community gardens. I tasted a few herbs that a guest pointed out to me. This is a private park owned by the Bishop Estate,... More

Lovely spot...individuals in the neighborhood lovingly care for this place. Off the beaten path so not a ton of tourists. Snorkeling was beautiful, easy in and out, lots of fish and coral. Grassy area with benches to relax and enjoy the secluded Bay. You can walk out on the rocks and see whales right now. Locals were warm and friendly.... More

The park is grassy and has a swim area. Be careful of the waves crashing you into the lava rocks. But, once you swim out further into the bay, the snorkeling views of the reef are incredible. Can't wait to go back.

This beach was within walking distance of our Halakealua Bed and Breakfast. Each day we walked to the beach, snorkeled, lazed around and enjoyed life. The treat was the group of ladies I met there. They are a part of "friends of the Beach". Francis is a marvelous keeper of all things proper at this family friendly treasure. See endemic... More

Came here for a morning with my husband on our honeymoon. Quiet spot with only a few other people. Good snorkeling spot, seas were a little tough but once you got out a little ways it was worth it. Nice spot down the road to rent kayaks from LeAnne too!

I fell in love with this spot...so much so I bought a vacant lot, hoping to build my dream home. the bay is lovely and a great spot to snorkel if calm. there is grass and picnic benches to enjoy an afternoon picnic, a community garden and a lovely path out to what I call the lava castle. If you... More
