We got to the light house right at sunset. The lighthouse closes at dusk but we were able to take a quick hike up to the buildings and walk around as the sun set and the lighthouse lights came on. Very quaint.

We were only in Crescent City for one night and had arrived in the dark so we wanted to explore a bit of this lovely town in the morning before we left, so we decided on this area around Battery Point Lighthouse.....and did I forget...More

The Lighthouse is very historical and I enjoyed seeing the late afternoon sun without the fog. Crescent City is a very quiet place.

With the lighthouse and it's gorgeous tree, I can't imagine anything but a picturesque sunset here. Also good views of Crescent Harbor.

Great view and such a great tour. There were whales and seals all over, along with crabs and shells everywhere!

We came back several times to Battery Point Lighthouse on our three day stay in the area. The lighthouse it self is very impressive but our family spent hours exploring the tide pools and walking the pier. When a teenager doesn’t want to leave yet...More

This lighthouse can only be accessed at low-tide. You will need to check the tide schedule to know when you can visit, but if you have the chance it provided a unique window to the past and beautiful view.

This is a wonderful lighthouse, which you can walk across to during low tide. And there are great views of the Pacific Ocean from everywhere! It was built in 1856.

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.
