This is a hike through the tidelands. You must be very careful walking beyond the sand and over rocks. It is not for the infirm I guess some would say. There are plenty of pictures from others to view. It is a pretty neat small...More

We came here from Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park where we were camping. Fortunately we timed it right and it was low tide so we were able to walk across the tide pools all the way up to the lighthouse. It was a stunning day...More

Be sure to check out the opening times on the board as you can only visit tide dependant. Wear sensible shoes as you walk over stones, not like me with my sandals as I had to keep stopping to shake the stones out. The lighthouse...More

While driving up the coast my wife is a huge lighthouse buff. We though that we was not going to be able to visit due to the tide but it was low so we got to walk out and see it. It was closed but...More

If walking over some rough terrain is not an issue worth the panoramic view. Because this is a private residence, the lighthouse is only open during designated tour times. We were disappointed.

I've seen literally hundreds of lighthouses on both coasts but, by far, this was my favorite - and the reality that somebody can actually volunteer here a week out of the year as the caretaker is pretty awesome and added to the location's allure. The...More

My 11 year old son and I had a wonderful time visiting Battery Point Lighthouse. We were staying in Klamath so I called that morning to ensure they would be open for tours as access to the lighthouse is dependent upon the tide. Located at...More

We did not actually see the lighthouse, so don't ask me about that. But we were there at low tide and my daughter and I explored the tide pools at the base. We found starfish, crabs, barnacles, snails, muscles and hermits crabs. Then we went...More

There are a number of great spots to view the lighthouse. If you time it right you can walk out to it at low tide.

This lighthouse is only available to be toured during low tide as the path to get to the lighthouse is underwater at high tide. We visited as the tide was coming in and therefore weren't able to tour the lighthouse.

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.

In the off months it is only weekends and tide permitting. Peak seasons are 7 days a week put still tide permitting.
