Our guide, Dylan, was a great resource for ice climbing. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really a skilled teacher. We learned some basics about the equipment, and then practiced the climb. Then, Dylan set up some challenge scenarios on a different climb that would focus on specific skills such as the footwork. This was a great experience, very much appreciated the calibre of guides that CMS has.

I did a 2 day intro to mountaineering course with Ian Fowler. There are not enough words to describe how awesome those 2 days were and how amazing Ian has been as a guide to learn from. Ian was super knowledgeable and patient and I learned so much during these 2 days. But most importantly - I was left with a taste for more mountaineering and I am eager to learn more and do more! 5 stars!!!

We had Wes Fowler for 2 days of multi-pitch guided climbs. The first day was Pear Butress on Lumpy Ridge and the second was Petit Grepon. Wes was fantastic. He definitely pushed us outside our comfort zones, took the time to teach us the techniques we needed to have for the climbs, and was very safety oriented during the entire time. We would definitely have him guide us again in the future. Thanks Wes.

We contacted CMS we had two days and wanted to see the best. All the qay from North Carolina. WES FOWLER delivered. We have climbed in 8 states. Cannot say enough about him. We did the Petit Grepon one day and Lumpy Ridge another day. If you're all the way there do it. Push yourself. Ask for WES FOWLER!!!!

My wife and I used the CMS for a hike up the north face of Longs Peak which has some technical aspects. After a 1/2 day training session of rock climbing, knot tying and rappelling with Ryan, we successfully summited the highest peak in RMNP with our very professional and personable guide. It was "peak experience", if you'll forgive the pun and an outing we will never forget. Hello, this is Dwight's wife, Maryse, adding my part about yesterday's wonderful experience. In situations like these, involving some moments of vulnerability & a pinch of fear occasionally, the person on whom one relies for guidance, someone you have not known for a long time, of course to a large extent determines what the dynamic, the mood of the day will be like. A guide plays an important part on many levels, both related to the technical & practical aspects as well as those human, more difficult to define elements. Ryan's personality is exceptionally well suited to shepherding his flock! He has a long list of personal accomplishments under his harness, so you can feel 100% safe--but he is also a great and kind teacher, and a substantial person at only 30 years old, with whom you can have meaningful conversation. We thank Ryan from the bottom of our hearts for caring as much as he did to make this into a beautiful & indelible memory. He'll be thought & spoken of always when recounting our story!
