My husband and I took a snowshoe tour first thing in the morning. We met Jared at the Estes Park Visitor Center, as we were staying at a private condo. He drove us to Bear Lake, where we made the trek to Emerald Lake. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us information and answering any random questions we had. He made sure to tailor the trip to what we wanted, giving us the views along with the fun aspect of snowshoeing. I highly recommend doing a guided tour with him!…

Jared was our tour guide and he was great! It was me and my boyfriend who traveled from Florida and we were able to customize the tour to be however we wanted it to be! So we decided to focus more on wildlife. We saw elk, sheep, and deer! I would do it again! Thank you Jared!

My husband, in-laws and I were planning our trip to RMNP, and I reached out to Yellow Wood for information about a private tour 8 months ahead of time. I'm a little OCD/Type A, and Jared couldn't have been more patient and accommodating. He answered all my questions, especially when I got confused about the park permit and timing versus the park pass. The day of the tour, he showed up at exactly 6:30 am on the dot, fully prepared with binoculars for everyone. My in-laws were solely in it to see animals and especially wanted to see elk and hear them bugle; I wanted that plus interesting tidbits about the animals' behavior. We got all that and more! Jared knew exactly where to go in the park to see elk and mule deer, and we went into the Big Thompson Canyon to see bighorn sheep and even prairie dogs. We were able to get out of the car (at a safe distance) and take pictures, ask questions, etc. He even gave us options like there's a 2% chance we see a moose at one place OR a 75% chance we see sheep at this other place. The vehicle was incredibly comfortable for 4 of us, and it was apparent that Jared really enjoyed his job and talking with people about the animals (even birds), landscape, history of the area, and tips places to go and see in and around Estes Park. Four hours was a perfect amount of time for the tour, and we all felt super safe with the mask mandate in the car. Highly recommend!…
