Stop by the Baldpate for lunch and spend time in the Key Room. They have over 20K keys from across the world --- hotel keys, coffin keys, house keys, bank keys, etc. See local photographs taken by the original owners back in the 1920's and various memorabilia. I read reviews and was close by after hiking on Lily Lake. Feeling hungry I decided to stop by for something to eat. I heard they had very good soup and thought I'd check out the menu as well. I wasn't sure what to expect but from the pics was intrigued to see all the keys. It was different but interesting. Not sure I was all that excited after reading a number of tags attached to the keys though. Stomach growling I went to be seated. I asked about the menu and was told it was an all you can eat soup and salad bar. That was it, no other options?? He said I could check out the salad bar and decide. The selection was mediocre at best and was shocked about it being around $14. I left and drove back to Estes Park disappointed and found another establishment to dine at. Worth the time to stop? I guess if you're curious about keys but wouldn't recommend it.…
