This museum is nicely done with informative and interesting displays. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have about Estes Park. We watched the introduction video which gives a pleasant overview of the area’s history. Then, we walked through the small rooms which are organized chronologically. Lastly, we saw the cabin outside and the small gift shop. I recommend going here if you want to learn more about the area and it’s people. It only takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

Self Guided tour of the museum, cabin, and building. The two volunteers (or staff) we encountered were very helpful, providing a "locals" perspective on Estes Park, and welcomed us warmly. Small gift shop. Video is nicely done proving a history and overview of Estes Park. So worth 30-45 minutes of your time when in Estes Park.

This has been renovated recently, and is very well laid out, telling history of Estes Park, surrounding area, etc. Very good docent on duty to explain things or answer questions. Also, has an "old" cabin on property, that is furnished and set up like the settlers would have had it. A great place for all ages!
