Very picturesque! Arrived after closing so could not go inside but took some great photos. We walked the trail along the coastline for a bit. Also very nice views.

We've seen pictures of this lighthouse in many pictures and it lives up to its rep. We visited on a cloudy day and it still looked solid and majestic. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

This historic lighthouse was only 5 minutes away from my motel in Lubec. After seeing pretty photos of it over the years, I wanted to drop by, enjoy the lovely surrounding scenery, take my own photos, and take a walk in the woods. Lots of...More

We visited in May so the season was not really ready for tourism. The lighthouse was not open for visitors on the day we were there. It is very well kept and worth adding to your bucket list. The most eastern lighthouse on the US.

I'm a minor lighthouse fanatic. At least in Maine. I've wanted to hit this one for about 18 years. The grounds are well kept as is the lighthouse. There's a little museum inside. Be careful with your cell phones. My phone kept picking up Canadian...More

Sunrise on January 2nd while watching fisherman head out to work was moving experience. Hiking last June provided some of the most beautiful vistas we've seen.

Even though it was closed for the season, it was well worth the visit. The road is plowed almost to the lighthouse leaving just a short walk to the shore. The cliffs are fantastic as the surf pounds in on them. Great location for photos.

I am making my first visit to Maine next week, traveling from NC. Staying in Bar Harbor so this lighthouse is a couple hours away. Are there any other worthwhile attractions, restaurants or sights to see in the area of West Quoddy Lighthouse?

Not on a routine basis, but there is a special open lighthouse day when that is possible and easily searched online. Nearby on Campobello Island in Canada is East Quoddy Light. You can walk to it only during low tide... More
