Facility is very well done, easy access, easy walk and elevator available. The early afternoon was delightful, the outside area with sculptures was a nice contrast to the air conditioned main galleries. Most of the pieces are modern in that they are this century some mid 1950+. I was disappointed the pieces were not older to compare art styles, impressions... More

We stopped by late and saw the last day of the travelling exhibit. It was a beautiful exhibit on the transportation that made the west. The architecture of the building is great with ramps leading down from gallery to gallery. At the bottom there are some great sculptures including a Rodin.

A lovely museum in the heart of the city. We were surprised to find that it had some interesting exhibits beyond the expected Southwestern paintings, sculpture and artifacts - some interesting modern art exhibits, some kitschy type art, pre-Columbian artifacts, Colonial exhibits, etc. Nice historic Arts and Crafts style house you can tour next door as well, and within walking... Unfortunately poorly curated with questionable pieces. Not a significant museum. Best to miss and enjoy other parts of the town.

Enjoyed seeing western art as well as the transportation exhibit, and other exhibits that blended well with the setting. There was a ramp you would walk down and art was displayed on some of the walls. It was relaxing to view this art as you could just appreciate and enjoy it and read what you found interesting.

Our visit began with a personal introduction by a volunteer docent. We very much enjoyed the most interesting transportation exhibit as well as the Latin American art, the native art and the modern art. An excellent way to spend a cool and cloudy January day. The immediate vicinity is also an excellent place to explore.

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. It had some nice pieces by some well known masters and some really nice western art. I enjoyed the layout and accessibility. I recommend it as a stop. Took me about 2 1/2 hours to see everything.

The art there was lovely! The museum was very large, so I didn't get a chance to see all of it, but it was really nice. It was easily accessible, ramps and an elevator, also the had lightweight foldout chairs you can carry around to sit in where there are no benches. I will definitely be going again to see... More

They had a special exhibit in January -- choice pieces from prominent international artists. The location is interesting with historic houses. Worth a visit!

Lovely small museum in Tucson. Interesting Western Art exhibit as well as pieces generally from their collection. Manageable and lighting very good. Nice variety. Clear and succinct descriptions. Free parking available.
