This is an inexpensive way to spend some time with the locals and maybe even win a few dollars. Parking is now up to $3 but still a deal. They have placed out padded chairs that go fast so get there early if you need...More

The afternoon we were there the first six races were for thoroughbreds (5-6 furlongs) and the last two were for quarter horses (shorter, only about 20 seconds long). The place was packed - all ages and lots of families. General admission is $5 but for...More

The place where Quarterhorse Racing first started. What an experience! History. Pageantry. Fun! And best of all - lucrative! We only ever make a two dollar bet each but if you read the program and bet with your head you can make back the entry...More

This is a great local place. It's fun too just people watch and feel the excitement. The entrance fee was doable. The one word of caution. Go early as the parking lot fills quickly.

We are racing enthusiasts so when my son mentioned this we said why not? What a blast, this is not Churchill Downs, Delmar or Arlington Park but it is good inexpensive racing. Also a great up close experience. You can see and feel the passion...More

We had a great time making simple 2$ bets and cheering for our horses. Without really knowing what we doing we ended up winning for the day! Bring your binoculars.

Went to an 8-race card on opening day 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed Tuscon's version of a day at the races. Rillito has been around since 1943 and is enthusiastically supported by the local community even though publicity/promotion is sadly lacking. A million dollars has recently...More

You can bet as little as $2. Plenty of parking and $5 to get in per person. Before the race you can get up close and see each of the horses. Fun atmosphere. They have food and drink carts outside. The pizza was yummy!

Watching the ponies run is so exciting that next year I will be looking at season passes. The saddle room is in need of improvements. Some cosmetic, some staff corrections and the food needs a complete overhaul. However, the feel of this place is wonderful....More
