My husband and I took this walking tour offered at the Salem Visitor's Center. Our guide, Katherine, was friendly and knowledgeable. This tour lasts about an hour and costs $8 per person. We toured the Salem Witch Trial Memorial as well as the old cemetery...More

Sadly, the towns interest in Salems witch history is taken a HUGE backseat to their maritime history. To which I say, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Regardless, this is a very good look at the trials and what...More

I would recommend the video as a short overview to the political events related to the Salem witch trials. Purchase the tickets from the information desk in the center of the main room. They accept credit/debit cards. The acting is just okay, and there are...More

By all means watch the theatrical "Crucible", but when you want to know the real history, you should watch this carefully researched documentary. Locally shot and beautifully produced, this movie will give you the information you need and help allay any History Channel misapprehensions.

The actors were amazing, I felt I was drawn into the actual scene. Worth teh small fee and teh staff was very pleasant.!!! I plan on taking my five year old in a few months.

A good documentary that shows at the Visitor Center, and features both actors re-creating the Salem Witch Trials as well as interviews with historians/"experts". Parts of the movie seem to skip, and the dialogue isn't synched with the actors lips, but overall a good effort.

While in Salem we wanted to do something that had to to with the Salem Witch Hunt. Little in the area has anything to do with the history of it. Most are modern shops and tourists traps. It was nice to do something that had...More

This film gives you a lot of history of the witch hysteria in Salem with a palatable mix of documentary and historical recreations. It is only 30 minutes long, but the producers pack in a lot of information in an entertaining but educational production. Highly...More

The film is excellent, and caused me to stop and think about the differences between our country's political climate today and Essex County in 1692. From those events one may project the role and the influence that the trials must have played in influencing the...More
