Awesome view of the city

This was very nice view of San Antonio. I especially loved the outdoor walk around even though it was a little windy up there.

Going to the top and seeing the beautiful sights while the sun was setting is definitely something worth experiencing.

Maybe because I frequent Seattle, the Tower of the Americas seems a little lame. We bought our tickets at the window (although we almost didn't get to because they were only taking cash at the time). The gift shop was pretty lame--mostly San Antonio stuff rather than Tower of the Americas stuff, and a lot of it stuff that we'd... More

Late in the evening we decided not to return to the hotel, but to grab a taxi and check out the Tower of the Americas. We found ourselves standing in a line waiting for about 30 minutes for the ticket booth to reopen. While standing there, one of us looked online to see if we could get tickets that way... More

Our group and a couple of other groups got lost walking to the venue. We walked around instead of cutting through the convention center/hotel. Once there, they take a picture of your group on a green screen that you then cake select the San Antonio background that you want your picture on. There was a short line for the elevator... More

Nice venue. Need ambassadors to greet at door and explain the options dinner location, various ways to reach observatory (elevator across gift shop vs. after photo and line to another elevator); and 3-d movie options. Too long to wait for elevator. No excitement in voice of photographer or cashier.

We ate at the restaurant in the tower for dinner and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the view fantastic. The city was decorated for Christmas so it was even more impressive than usual. We went back the next day and went to the observation deck as well. The waterfalls around the tower are just beautiful... More

We had a family vacation in San Antonio around Christmas. We wanted to have some fine dining so we opted for the Tower of Americas. It was a great surprise of the views of San Antonio at night with Christmas lights everywhere. The food was superb and service was excellent. I highly recommend this place as a high end restaurant... We brought family here so we decided to grab a bite to eat in the lounge. We have eaten in the restaurant in the past. A little too expensive for the average family but having appetizers & drinks was just fine. It's a fun place to visit, cool off on a hot day or warm up on a cold day.... More

This was a very romantic and quiet setting. The food was amazing and the dessert was to die for. I would definitely return. The view is also breathtaking
