The San Antonio Museum of Art is housed in a historic brewery along the banks of the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk. The Museum offers important permanent collections of Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities, Asian art, Latin American art, contemporary art and American paintings. The museum offers a variety of programs and a cafe. Visit our website for admission pricing and more information. Free general admission every Tuesday 4 - 9 p.M. And Sunday 10 a.M.- Noon

Each gallery represents a different culture and time period. I especially enjoyed the beautiful artifact from the Greek and Roman collections. If you like art, allow at least a couple of hours.

Beautiful big museum with days that offer FREE admission. Movies are offered on Friday evenings. All kinds of art. Awesome gift shop. You can get here on the Via bus. Special events all year round

There is definitely enough to see between traveling and permanent collections to fill a morning or afternoon without being overwhelmed.

Nice museum...what u would expect. Frigid temperature pretty much drove us out a couple of hours into it. No kidding BRING A SWEATER.

Contemporary Art, Pre-Columbian, Latin American Folk Art; Egyptian, Greek, Roman collections; Asian, American, and European Art. The Historic Building's the old Lone Star Brewery. Well worth a visit!

Not just paintings hanging on the wall... there was so much more than you could imagine. Quite a lot of Roman, Greek, Egyptian, as well as Latin and South American artwork (carvings, sculptures, tapestries, etc).

They had impressive collections of pre-Columbian art as well as Egyptian, Greek and Roman. There was also a section of Texan art.

This museum is one of San Antonio's hidden wonders. It has a lot to offer different eras to peruse through. Many different styles of art. It all so gives FREE General Admission on Tuesdays: 4:00–9:00 p.m. and on Sundays: 10:00 a.m.–noon
