The best time to visit the San Antonio Riverwalk is right after Thanksgiving when they turn on the Christmas lights. The lights stay on till the the Feast of Three Kings. The place is illuminated my millions of lights, it turns the whole place into a wonderland.

When you take the stairs and go down to the river it feels you are going from one world to another, it is just a paradise like landscape down there. The cool weather, fresh water, restaurants, art, and artistic activities are just amazing, a must to see in your life time.

This is a great place to walk around and see cool things. A lot of tourist shops and restaurants along the riverwalk but there are also places to go and just sit and enjoy the river. Highly recommend.

Was attending a conference and this was a great location. Many great places to eat and drink along the river walk. Would definitely visit again for a weekend vacation or more.

We walked the rivers edge early in the morning outside the River Walk area and found it so calm and peaceful.

You can tell that lots of planning went into this. Lovely, clean and lots of plants; not a concrete jungle. Too many choices for food and not a lot of shops. Worth a visit, but only for a few hrs, then you're done

The Riverwalk is miles of beautifully landscaped accessible walkway that winds through the center of this busy city. You are one flight below the streets . The paths are lined with flowers, trees, waterfall features, and benches. We stepped on at The Pearl and enjoyed miles of beautiful walking before reaching the busy city center area. Along this section the... More

Went for a long couples weekend with my wife. There are tons of great restaurants and bars - had a lot of great meals and still lost a couple of pounds just from all the walking we did. We stayed at the Westin which was a beautiful hotel on the Quiet part of the river walk. It was only a... More
