Did not get to go inside. We stopped here on our ghost tour. This Cathedral is very beautiful at night with the lights. Also, spooky happenings are connected to this place.

Nice cathedral is the downtown area of San Antonio. Easy walk from the Mercado. Good luck with parking. The inside is very interesting and tourists can roam around when mass is not being held. Free.

We visited San Fernando Cathedral on Sunday morning. The parishioners were very welcoming and pointed out several interesting spots. The service had multiple speakers and a choir. The "x" on the ground below the main dome is where all distances were measured after it was...More

Went by one evening and watched the laser/projection show on the front of the cathedral. Easily one of the most beautiful presentations I've ever seen and wonderfully done. Came back the next day to explore the church and pay respects to the Alamo defenders entombed...More

The Cathedral was my favorite sight in San Antonio! We went for the light projection show on the outside of the Cathedral with music. There really aren't any words to come close to describing the beauty, so much planning and talent went into creating the...More

This is a very welcoming, living, active church. Staff encouraged us to walk around and photograph inside.

This was the best thing (yes better than the river walk) that we did in San Antonio. It was amazing. The video and music is a must see when you come visit.

Very old church built in the 1800. Beautiful inside. I understand that Daniel Boone, Davey Crockett and Travis are buried at the cathedral. Church was within 3 blocks of hotel.

There wasn’t parking right at this plaza, but the nearest lot (at 205 W. Nueva Street, San Antonio) is pretty close (within 5 mins) and a pretty level easy walk.. You might get lucky and find some good nearby street... More

No, it’s free. Please be aware it is an active church site, so quiet, respect and sensitivity to the people who are there to pray is a must. We stood quietly in the back, then quietly took a peek at the ornate... More
