My mother, my daughter, and I saw Shakespeare's The Tempest on Sunday. Ok. It was hands down, the loveliest production I've seen in a long while!! What passionate players! The group of actors were absolutely wonderful! The theatre was comfortable and accommodating. The ticket box staff was lovely as well. We will be back! Thank you for a great time!... More

A group of us attended the current show – Master Class – that is the story of Maria Callas. It was a great show with very talented actors. There is little doubt that this venue should be supported and enjoyed by all. The only problem is the back or top row seating, which we were given. The row had a... More

I drove in from Houston just to watch a show at this theater. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and the funky little theater was awesome!

We were invited to attend a performance at this intimate theatre. WOW! We were surprised by this hidden gem. While it only holds about 120, the theatre is a great asset to San Antonio. Half of the audience sits on either side of the stage, so there are no bad seats. Each row of seats is about 12" higher than... More

My wife and I have probably seen at least six of the plays presented in the Classic Theater. The quality of performances often rivals performances that we have seen in New York. Many of the plays are thought provoking and the actors are uniformly professional and polished. This month (Feb. 2013) we saw "Painting Churches," a story about the Church... More

We have season tickets to 3 things in S.A. The Majestic Broadway Series, the Spurs and Classic Theatre. The quality of the performances is outstanding. The plays are well-chosen and great care is taken in presenting them. The seasons are cohesive and we enjoy the actors level of expertise.

Only wish there had been a full house for this moving performance which was written and performed by Andrea Assaf and Samuel Valdez. A straight man with cerebral palsy (Samuel) and a lesbian woman (Andrea) become entwined in each other's life stories of being outside the circle of acceptance because of who they are and not being seen for their... There is nothing like an evening in a cozy theater watching talented people perform well written and well directed plays! I have been to three plays in this theater in the last year and have been well satisfied with the talent presented no only by the actors, directors and writers, but also the set designers. It is a small local... More
