My wife and I had a couple's massage for her birthday. Turned out to be a perfect gift. The spa is located in the Menger Hotel, literally across the street from The Alamo in the middle of the Riverwalk. Our two therapists were professional, wonderful and attentive. Olga was forceful enough for my taste and Dolores was gentle with my... More

I have traveled a lot over the years and I've had many massages, but nothing beats the one I had at Alamo Plaza Spa! The therapist's name is Soniya, and I highly recommend her! A pleasant, eight-minute steam room experience was available with eucalyptus oils prior to my massage - very relaxing. I wish I could clone Soniya and take... More

We were kind of put off by the layout of the place, but it is a very small space and they have used it to the best of their abilities I suppose. My cousin and I got the scrub and rub, and I can not say enough great things about the entire experience. It was so amazing and relaxing that... More

From the very beginning, you are welcomed into the quiet realm of this relaxing retreat. Olga is an excellent massage therapist who finds the trouble spots and works them away through the right level of pressure and movement to loosen your tight muscles. Candlelight provides a respite from the glare of the day and leads to a steam or shower.... More

The spa is in the historic Menger Hotel by the Alamo in downtown San Antonio. My husband and I had a couples massage. It was great! The facility is clean, quiet and relaxing. Low light and candles plus a water fountain set the tone. We started with a steam bath, followed by a shower and then a one hour Swedish... More

There is the spa itself and there is the masseuse. The spa was small, cramped and outdated. They tried to make is serene, but missed the mark a little. I did enjoy the steam room, though. My masseuse was another story. She made me feel very uncomfortable. About 3 minutes in, she leaned into my ear and made a comment... More

My wife and I had a great couples massage at the Alamo Plaza Spa. Unique experience in that they have you do a hot steam room and cool shower prior to your massage. Seemed weird at the time but was absolutely the perfect way to start a massage. Sonja and Dolores were fantastic and very polite and professional. Great Swedish... More

My massage was okay but the spa itself seemed like an after thought. It was in the basement of the hotel and very small. There are no treatment rooms, but curtains hanging from the ceiling.

My boyfriend and I had a couples massage and then I got a facial. It was not as fancy as some spas I have visited however it was very quant and it was well worth the price we paid! Would definitely go back if we ever make it back to San Antonio!

My esthetician Dani was very thorough and explained everything in a pleasant soothing manner. I'm pretty sure I dozed off. She and Alamo Plaza Spa are both worth finding near the pool and downstairs. Very professional and knowledgable.
