So much culture and color. We enjoyed walking around the shops and vendors. Everyone was so friendly. There are 2 indoor areas, gave us a brief escape from the humid weather. We loved the culture, music and atmosphere of the market.

The shopping is something my sisters and I still do at Market Square. If you get a chance stop in Metiare's...their tres leche cake is to die for.

You can find some very nice things at the market. Be aware that there are also very cheap imitations.

This was a cool place to walk around, grab a few bites and do a little shopping. I would say plan to go for 1-2 hours tops. There are better things to spend your time on but worth a quick trip if you are there.

I agree with a spending cap. I would say for food AND a souvenir-$50. I also would empower them with the phrase "not yet". There are so many high pressure sales going on in this market. Let them know that they are the one in... More

I walked there with a foreign visitor and it was daylight. There were many homeless people along the route and I did not feel overly unsafe but I did not feel super safe either as we walked to and from. I would not walk... More
