This place is great. You can get info to the city, theme parks, hotels, shopping, etc. They have free wi-fi, so if you take a quick break at the benches right next door, you can get connceted.More

Bus 301 (downtown circular) should serve about any hotel in the area you're referring to. Please check the VisitSanAntonio website and look under the hotel & motel section for hotels in the area that you'd prefer.

Yes to the best of my recollection once you purchase a day pass it is good for all day. The people in the Visitor Center are awesome for help also. Have fun on your visit!
