An Intimate Small Boat Experience With A Six Passenger Max Limit for a very personal experience. Whale Watching is our passion! Your goal is to see whales and our goal is to show them to you. Captain Ken has been a professional mariner for 37 years serving as captain mainly on ocean tugs on the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. He has worked small cruise ships in SE Alaska and Inside Passage and Excursion vessels on the Columbia and Snake Rivers from Astoria, OR to Lewiston, ID. Ken has had opportunity to see whale behavior as well as many other marine life on the Pacific Ocean from Kodiak Alaska all the way down to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico and on the Atlantic Ocean. He has seen Humpback Whales “bubble net feeding” in Alaska and scratched the heads of curious Gray Whale calves in Mexico One of Ken’s greatest passions is to share his experience with others and now he is able to do just that by taking you out to meet the whales in their natural environment. He is a certified Naturalist and loves to share what he has learned, with you on the tour.

Spirit of Orca Whale and Wildlife Tours did not feel like your typically whale watching tour. Instead, it was a small group of us on a boat that fits no more than 6 people. It was a beautiful sunny evening and we departed right from...More

Spirit of the Orca was great! Ken was able to accommodate my friend and I the day of the whale watching trip. Ken’s boat offered a more personal experience because it wasn’t as large. This allowed us to ask lots of questions and really learn...More

Four of us went out with Captain Ken and had a wonderful adventure. Saw 3 juvenile orcas feeding on a seal, splashing around in the water and spy hopping. Also saw some enormous seals hanging around on an island. Saw eagles and some other birds....More

We picked Spirit of Orcas because we were drawn to the smaller boat (6 passengers) and wanted a more intimate experience. They definitely delivered here. We were disappointed that our captain kept looking at his watch. He checked the time 5-6 times on a 3hour...More

Had a great time watching Orcas with Ken's Spirit of Orca. He knows the area so well and with only 4 other people on board..made it a very comfortable boat ride without scrambling to see the whales. So much better than having 100 people on...More

Such an amazing experience!! A small, intimate group on his boat made for an incredible experience. We were the only boat that was around a pod of orcas that we're launching out of the Puget Sound. They came within a few feet of our boat...More

Captain Ken took us on an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. He went the extra mile to ensure we got to see the orcas. And then when other boats turned back, he pressed onwards, which allowed us to see them do this beautiful dance....More

Our trip was fantastic! We followed some Orca's just watching them for awhile and then they put on a show for us. Breaching completely out of the water, so awesome to see! We also saw seals and a Bald Eagle. Thank you Ken for our...More
