One of the few, or only place, in the world to watch Orcas from land, if you happen to be there. It is however also a great picnic area, with quite a few tables and benches, to enjoy 'al fresco' dining. Right by the water and close to lighthouse.

The state park was fantastic to go through as a history buff I loved seeing the English Royal Marine fort and it's surrounding quarters when the British with the Hudson Bay Trading Company had a land dispute with American settlers there in the mid 1800's. The Lighthouse was a great spot to visit also but alas we did not get... More

Stopped by and did a short hike to the waters. The trees were so different, and just beautiful. There is a little lighthouse that is picturesque! I am very glad I stopped by

Absolutely stunning views! I came near sunset and enjoyed walking the paths and getting some amazing photos. I didn't see the $10 day charge box until I went back to the car to leave. (I did leave the money =) So you may want to keep an eye out for it

Excellent place to relax and look for whales! The view of the water is expansive here. There are a couple of picnic tables to sit at, which was nice. Parking was reasonably priced.

This is a nice little hike from the parking lot out to the Lighthouse. It was a cold and blustery day when we went but we enjoyed it very much even though we saw no whales. At the far end of the park we did see a Stellar Sea Lion which looked SO big and white in the water that... More

We had the whole park to our self's and long came the whales. We had some much fun. The park is beautifully done in natural easy walkways down to the water. A real must stop for while and just take in the beauty of the surroundings.

Lime Kiln State Park was a great place to spend a few hours of peace and quiet. I suppose that during the high season (Summer) it can get more crowded and noisy, but in April my wife and I had the place almost completely to ourselves! I loved that the only sound I could hear was the wind through the... More

We visited about two weeks ago and it was super windy and the seas were rough. Nevertheless, it was fun to watch the waves crashing against the rocks and the lighthouse against the backdrop of the stormy seas made for great photos! We were hoping to see some marine life and were rewarded with sights of three harbor seals frolicking... More

Had a lovely couple of hours hiking and then watching for whales here. (we didn't see any - too early in the season...)
