This cemetery is the resting place of about 60,000 individuals who have served the United States in some way. The gleaming white stones stretch for nearly 80 acres. When the moonlight shines on the cemetery, it is a beautiful memorial to those who have passed over. Travelling down Route 84 north of Santa Fe it dominates the view of the... More

On the north side of Santa Fe sits our National Cemetery. It is a tranquil place of gleaming white stones in the rolling hillsides. Late in the evening they shine brightly from the setting sun. It is situated adjacent to a public cemetery with stones dating back to the 1800's.

Can't miss it because it brings about a quiet and stoic atmosphere, and the rows and rows of white headstones can be seen very well on a sunny day. I have two family members buried there (found out during my visit with family). There's a mall awkwardly placed across the street, but w/e. Great place to respect loved ones or... More

We took the time to honor those who served our country. I learned from a friend about leaving a penny on the headstone to let family know you paid your respects. I left several. It was a sobering visit and one I'm glad I paid.

Walking through the Santa Fe National Cemetery is a beautiful location at the north end of the city. It is well laid out and a tribute to those who served our country.

The National Cemetery at Santa Fe is our Federal Government at its best! It is heart-warming to see our government taking the time to provide such a lovely resting place for our valiant veterans. The grounds are immaculately cared for and beautifully groomed. The pavilion for "graveside" services is spacious and convenient. The local Veteran's Associations are to be commended... More

I work out at the Spa, across the highway, and I come here to walk, just to get some exercise and reflect on all the stories and lives and experiences represented in this place. I find it very grounding.....

We have a number of relatives buried in the National Cemetery and visit often. The staff keeps this cemetery in great condition. There is never any trash or anything out of order. The directory and markings are easy to use and find your loved ones. We have also attended a burial here and it was nicely organized and very respectful... More
