Hearing and seeing an opera in this spectular outdoor covered amphitheater venue nestled in the foothills between the Sangre de Christos and the Jemez Mountains is an experience of a life time and one that every opera goer needs to have. I loved it and hope to go again this year.

The Santa Fe Ooera House is like no other... you need to go to see it and enjoy the rich history and enjoy the views. It is a gorgeous setting and the acoustics are superb! We had a lively evening with friends.

First opera ever attended. Don Giovanni by Mozart. Subtitles shown on backs of seats. Hilarious plot. LONG but worth the time spent. Theater is open behind set and on sides. During the climax, when man pulled down into hell, REAL thunder and lightning clapped in the background. Nature couldn't have timed it better. If you have never been to the... More

I love a full evening at the Santa Fe Opera. While many tailgate, I've always included the catered pre-opera dinner. Desiree May, international opera expert, gives a succinct overview of that nights opera. This, after an always delicious buffet meal, including wine. All seats are good in the seating area for viewing & listening. Since the seats are outside, yet... More

Unforgettable experience taking in world class opera in a gorgeous al fresco theater with desert sunset and backdrop! Pregame with a picnic and fine wine...what more could you ask for?

This was definitely memorable. Even if you're not into opera, I'm sure you will find a story that might spark your interest in giving this venue a try. The theater is partially open to the outdoors and you can see the sunset while the performances begin. L

Expect great performances by great artists. Lately, the sets have been a little odd, but otherwise a very satisfying experience. Don't miss Oliver Presant's pre opera presentations which usually happen one and two hours before the show. They are: funny, inspiring, informative, awesome and sometimes you get to sing along with Oliver! I usually go to three of these operas... More

Even if you don't think you know, like or understand opera you should nit miss the opportunity of the beauty of attending the Santa Fe Opera under the stars in the summer. World class operas, singers, scenery, everything top notch and Mother Nature participating in yne US' only outdoor theater.

The ultimate in operas - unique mountain ridge location affords spectacular sunset views before the performances begin - amazing location but beware of the rain - we were soaked once!
