This is a beautiful drive if you have a couple of hours (round trip) and want to get out of the Santa Fe summer heat. You will see New Mexico high country -- green, wooded and cooler.

Fast lifts, short lines, perfectly groomed slopes, interesting, challenging, relaxing slopes. Lunch with a green chili burger, the friendly atmosphere all around and decent prices. Before I forget - "easy to get there, and come back to Santa Fe?" There's a lot to smile about...More

There is a bus that takes you up the Mt. R entals are available on site at the ski area. However first time you and your husband should spend time in the cafeteria is my suggestion unless he is older.
